The Children's Guild 2010-2011 Annual Report

This annual report for The Children's Guild pulled inspiration from iconic Hollywood films to illustrate the dramatic stories of success and achievement for the year. Repurposing familiar movie titles and themes helped engage readers, making this a compelling piece that garnered a 2011 gold MarCom Award.

Monarch Academy “Wingspan” Newsletter

As a key element of Monarch Academy’s recruitment effort, BHC develops a four-page newsletter that presents specific examples of the implementation and success of the school’s unique curriculum and environment. The newsletter, which is part of an award-winning marketing campaign to launch the school, also features comments from current parents and promotes upcoming events to encourage potential families to attend and enroll.

The Children’s Guild 2011 Cabaret for Kids Save the Date

The theme for The Children’s Guild annual Cabaret for Kids event is dictated by the honoree for that year’s event. The 2011 Cabaret for Kids honorees wanted to highlight faith, family, community and philanthropy—important aspects of their lives. In addition to incorporating these values, BHC also wanted to highlight another key element: that the couple was celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The look was translated onto all event-related collateral including a save the date card, invitation, ad book, sponsorship packet, auction forms, and web graphics. BHC also provided PR services to help raise awareness and boost ticket sales.

Monarch Academy Baltimore Campus Direct Mail Card

To spread the word about a new public charter school The Children's Guild opened in Baltimore City, BHC developed direct mailers and advertisements to promote informational sessions and open houses.

Children’s Guild “Transformation” Newsletter

BHC works with The Children’s Guild to develop their newsletter, which is distributed to parents, staff and administration, donors, and referral sources three times a year as well as posted online. Utilizing onsite photography that BHC coordinates, the newsletter is filled with information about events, programs and relevant information for all target audiences. By sharing key selling points of the organization and using personal connections to feature stories whenever possible, this newsletter is a powerful fundraising and marketing piece for The Children’s Guild.

The Children’s Guild VIVA ITALIA Event

To help raise funds and awareness about The Children’s Guild, BHC helped develop collateral materials for the organization’s Viva Italia: Concourse d’Elegance, an Italian car show. The 2010 look utilized the event’s branded logo that BHC developed as well as incorporated elements from the event’s key sponsors and new location for 2010. BHC created a save the date direct mail card; an ad book, pit pass; a VIP reception invitation; an e-blast geared toward car registrants, attendees and sponsors; web graphics; and ads. In addition to utilizing BHC’s graphic design department, The Children’s Guild also hired BHC to garner press coverage as well as develop and maintain social media outlets.

VIVA ITALIA Twitter

To help raise awareness and promote discussion about The Children’s Guild’s Viva Italia: Concourse d’Elegance, an Italian car show, BHC created and maintained a Twitter account, keeping followers abreast of all event info.

The Children’s Guild Golf Classic Invite

To brand their event and convey that this golf event helped raise funds to benefit school children, BHC developed a look for the 2010 golf classic for The Children’s Guild. This look was used on all event-related materials including a website banner, brochure and signage.

Hannah More School Facebook

When the Hannah More School was ready to go social, BHC introduced them to Facebook, creating their Facebook Page and keeping it current with school events, news, and relevant information from the web.

The Children’s Guild Baltimore Campus Guide

Coordinating with the branded look of The Children’s Guild that was established in the annual report that BHC developed for the organization, this guide serves to educate referral sources about the programs and services offered at the Baltimore campus of The Children’s Guild as well as the school’s success in helping students with special needs.
