Making an immediate connection with the featured guest of the 2011 Leadership Howard County Big Event, Jane Pauley, BHC developed collateral that drew on television media and Jane Pauley’s experience with NBC. This look was utilized on all event materials including a direct mail card, program book and print advertising.
Domestic Violence Center Dating Forum Flier
The Domestic Violence Center of Howard County wanted to promote its dating violence forum, which was geared toward college-aged young adults. Using its knowledge of the prevalence of text messaging for this demographic, BHC developed a compelling flier that visually captured the subject matter and target audience, while providing relevant information for potential attendees.
Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource Center Appeal Letter
BHC wrote the end-of-year appeal letter for the Claudia Mayer Cancer Resource Center, utilizing compelling copy and a patient story to convey the center’s message. In addition, BHC designed the letter to incorporate Claudia Mayer’s favorite color, lavender, into the theme.
Howard Hospital Foundation's Symphony of Lights Midnight at 7 Flier
To promote the new Howard County New Year’s Eve event, Midnight at 7 at the Symphony of Lights, BHC developed a design concept, advertising and PR campaign. This look was utilized on fliers, direct mail, bus tails, advertisements, tickets and more. The result was an attendance of more than 3,500 people—more than tripling the Foundation’s goal of 1,000 attendees.

UCP of Central Maryland 2009 Annual Report
Working with United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Central Maryland, BHC developed an annual report that matches the UCP brand, but seamlessly weaves together key reporting information with colorful graphic and photos to make a compelling fundraising piece.
Stompin’ for the Cord Save the Date
Working with the International Center for Spinal Cord Injury at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, BHC developed a branded look for this wine, country-style BBQ and bluegrass music to help raise awareness and funds for the organization. The look was used on numerous related print materials for the event.

This newsletter, which is also adapted to send to existing and potential donors as well as key local contacts via email, features stories and photos that speak to the good work done by the foundation and the hospital as well as opportunities to support these efforts.
