Bonnie Heneson Joins Girl Scouts of Central Maryland Board

OWINGS MILLS/COLUMBIA, Md.—Bonnie K. Heneson, president of Bonnie Heneson Communications (BHC), was named to the board of the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, which provides programs and activities for nearly 30,000 girls in Central Maryland.

Heneson, who has more than 30 years of experience in the field, founded BHC in 1990, a full-service public relations, marketing and advertising agency with offices in Owings Mills and Columbia, Md. She has been a marketing and communications consultant and expert to organizations along the Baltimore-Washington corridor, nationally and internationally, in a range of industries including health care, education, religion, nonprofit, real estate and a variety of service industries, among others.

Heneson is a three-time recipient of The Daily Record's Top 100 Women Award, a Top 100 MBE Award winner and a SmartCEO Bravo! Award winner. In addition to the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, Heneson is a board member of Network 2000, Towson University's College of Business and Economics and Community Health Charities. In addition, she received the Industry Leader Award for Communications from the YWCA of Central Maryland. Heneson earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Goucher College in Towson, Md. She lives in Pikesville, Md.

Girl Scouts of Central Maryland provides programs and activities for nearly 30,000 girls in Baltimore City, and Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford and Howard counties.
