Bonnie Heneson Communications (BHC), a full-service marketing communications agency, received two silver Aster Awards for health care publications created for Johns Hopkins Medicine’s Howard County General Hospital.

The awards recognize the Directory of Physicians, a 100-page publication managed by BHC and distributed annually to Howard County residents, as well as Wellness Matters, a quarterly magazine the agency writes and designs for Howard County General Hospital. The award-winning issue presented heart care and post-pandemic health.

“The health care system has never been more stressed, and communication with the community is more important than ever in the last few years,” said Kyri Jacobs, CEO of BHC. “It’s a privilege to provide marketing services to hospitals and health systems in Maryland, and industry recognition only makes our work more gratifying.”

The Aster Awards program recognizes health care marketing professionals across the nation. A panel of design and health care marketing professionals judge submissions based on creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.
