Bonnie Heneson Communications (BHC), a full-service marketing communications agency, received two gold Aster Awards and a bronze Aster Award for marketing pieces produced on behalf of healthcare and national association clients. Gold Aster Awards represent the top 5% in the nation, while bronze Aster Awards represent the top 16%.

The gold Aster Awards recognize two annual reports written and designed by BHC: the Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center’s “2024 Nursing Annual Report” and the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America Inc.’s “Impact Report 2025: Sickle Cell Strong.” The bronze Aster Award recognizes the Johns Hopkins Health System’s “Community Benefit Report” designed by BHC.

“Our clients rely on BHC to take complex stories and transform them into communications that inform, engage and inspire action,” said Kyri Jacobs, president and CEO of BHC. “We are grateful to our clients for trusting us to help bring their important work to life and honored that our work has been recognized among the best in the nation.”

The Aster Awards program recognizes healthcare marketing professionals across the nation. A panel of design and healthcare marketing professionals judge submissions based on creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal.

In 2023, BHC received a gold Aster Award for Wellness Matters, a quarterly magazine the agency wrote and produced for Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center.
